About Ellen

Ellen Eadie was a dominant figure in Australian stamping in the 1990s. She provided artwork for, and taught classes at, Woodstock, the beautiful shop run by the local PSX distributors. She wrote extensively for magazines, including the respected Rubber Gazette, a specialist publication by stampers, for stampers.

Here is the cover Ellen made for the April 1999 Rubber Gazette. That's a special cover for me - I went to my very first stamping class just before this was published. Ellen was the teacher, and she had her original artwork up on an easel for the class to see. This work is composed of many PSX stamps (some of the actual stamps used may well be included in the Great Southern Stamp Sale).

Ellen's far too modest to talk herself up, so I'm doing it for her!

Oh, and here's an index to many Rubber Gazette articles, made by France, a stamper from Western Australia. You'll see Ellen's name appearing there lots of time. Ooh, look, you'll even see mine!
