About Lea

Lea Saddington is one of the quiet heroes of stamping in Melbourne.

  • She was a distributer of the most arty magazines, at a time when it was hard to get them into your hands.
  • She operated and edited the Rubber Gazette magazine for several years, giving us access to arty inspiration way before we were all on the internet.
  • She ran Northern Stampers, a club I used to travel across Melbourne to get to each month, where the air was thick with inspiration, and we were all so busy talking about books and paint, we hardly ever successfully made anything!
  • And probably much more that I can't think of right now.

Time has gone by, and Lea finds she's not using her arty collection any more. She wants it shared with people who will enjoy it.

The stamps here are all from the very elegant, artistic, and often quirky end of the scale. She thinks there might be one teddy bear, but I haven't found it yet.

Lea's also very naughty - many of her stamps have not been used! This does mean that they are in terrific shape for you, the buyers.
